The Adam Smith Society is a vast, chapter-based association of MBA students, alumni, and business leaders committed to capitalism and the open exchange of ideas. Their influential network of over 9,000 members is dedicated to preserving and strengthening the free-market economy. In collaboration with dedicated MBA student leaders, the national office of the Adam Smith Society sponsors and coordinates exclusive events that provide graduate business students and alumni with access to prominent business leaders, academics, journalists, and public officials. These speakers share their experiences and offer insights into the connections between successful businesses, free institutions, and a robust civil society. Additionally, the Adam Smith Society organizes regional, national, and international programs for student and professional members. The goal is to inspire business students and young professionals to recognize and embrace their responsibility in ensuring the endurance and prosperity of our economic system.

The Boston University MBA Asia Business Club (ABC) aims to provide Asian graduate students at Questrom with resources and opportunities to connect with classmates, alumni, faculty, and industries, fostering cultural understanding between Asia and other parts of the world, particularly America. The club’s goal is to enhance students’ real-world business skills and experiences while building a strong community within and beyond the club. All Questrom graduate students are served, with a primary focus on MBA students, including full-time, professional evenings, and online participants. Emphasis is placed on opportunities for practical business experience in marketing, consulting, and communications. While members are primarily international students from Asia and domestic students of Asian ethnicity, all students are welcome and encouraged to join the membership and events to promote better communication and integration within Questrom.

The Blockchain and Virtual Worlds Club is dedicated to exploring and engaging with the rapidly growing fields of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and spatial computing, including virtual and augmented realities. With significant advancements from tech giants like Apple with its Vision Pro headset and Meta’s continuous updates to its immersive headsets, these technologies are not just the future but the present.

The club’s goals are twofold:

Educational: To provide a platform for members to learn about, discuss, and collaborate on topics related to these evolving technologies. This will be achieved through regular meetings, workshops, guest lectures, and participation in relevant events and competitions.

Professional: To create networking opportunities and potential career paths for members in industries related to these technologies.

The organization’s purpose is twofold: primarily, to enhance the student experience, learning opportunities, professional networking, and internship and career prospects for MBA + MSDT dual majors, and secondly, to organize events, trainings, and employer treks related to business technology that offer value to all Boston University MBA candidates. These goals will be pursued by organizing events, inviting speakers, building relationships with other student organizations within and outside of Boston University, and collaborating with faculty to improve the MSDT program.

The purpose of the organization is to promote education and awareness of Christian Business Principles within the Questrom student body. The group will conduct business-focused Bible studies and invite students, faculty, alumni, and business leaders to discuss how their faith influences their business philosophy and practices. Additionally, the group will facilitate opportunities for professional networking both within and outside of the Questrom community.

The Cohort Cup is a club that provides social and competitive events for all students in the FTMBA and PEMBA programs, including sports tournaments, cohort outings, and the annual talent show. All MBA students are automatically enrolled and welcome to join all events. The mission of the club is to build community within Questrom, allowing students to get to know their classmates outside of an academic setting and providing free social events to all MBA students. The goals of the Cohort Cup include recruiting new first-year members, organizing one successful event per month, occasionally partnering with other clubs that support the mission, and helping first and second-year students build relationships among and between classes.

Cohort Q is the LGBTQ student organization for the Boston University Questrom School of Business graduate programs. The mission of the organization is to connect LGBTQ students and allies by providing networking and social opportunities, a forum to discuss LGBTQ issues in the workplace, and a supportive community for LGBTQ students.

The Consulting Club is dedicated to educating students about current trends and best practices in the consulting industry and about consulting as a career choice. The club aims to ensure that Questrom graduate students can gain access to careers at consulting firms of their choice by helping to develop the necessary skill sets needed to succeed in the consulting industry.

The aim is to synthesize energy and environmental sustainability-related ideas from a variety of educational and professional sources to advance understanding of energy, sustainability, and their respective roles within society, industry, technology, and policy. This objective is pursued through empirical and objective education and outreach.

The Graduate Entrepreneurship & Innovation Club aims to empower student entrepreneurs and innovators by providing resources, networking opportunities, and events focused on entrepreneurial thought and action in businesses of all sizes.

Graduate Finance and Investment Club (GFIC) exists to aid professional development of students interested in finance and/or investing. The club aims to facilitate networking, expose students to the industry, and provide relevant learning opportunities.

The mission of the Health Sector Management (HSM) Club is to increase the sense of community for all MBA students enrolled in and interested in Health Sector Management by providing educational, professional development, and social events.

The Impact Investing Club is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the program curriculum and increasing awareness of the impact investing sector through panels, networking, social events, and other activities. The club organizes activities outside the classroom to further educate MBA students about impact investing and raises awareness of related courses to both internal and external audiences. It expands the impact investing community through social networking, fundraising, volunteering, and career development activities, and collaborates with the Questrom administration to strengthen this community. Additionally, the club organizes skill-building workshops to prepare MBA students for their future careers.

The official mission of the Internship Fund for Social Impact (IFSI) is to empower students across the FTMBA program to create lasting social impact by funding career-accelerating, purpose-driven internships. Since 2012, IFSI has mobilized the Questrom MBA community through awareness-building events and fundraising efforts to support students pursuing impactful internships, regardless of financial barriers. By generating opportunities for students to engage in essential work, IFSI plays a crucial role in fostering social impact. The fund is entirely run by first- and second-year MBA students, with the support and guidance of select faculty and staff, and its efforts are amplified through the generosity of the Dean’s office.

The Jewish Business Student Association aims to provide a variety of social, cultural, and educational programming for the Questrom student body surrounding Jewish themes. The association sponsors social events, presents various speakers, sponsors academic programs, and provides professional networking opportunities. The association seeks to provide a space for Jewish students to connect and network, and for all students to share in cultural activities and education as a part of the larger myQuestrom network.

Latin American MBA Association (LAMBA) seeks to foster a space for open dialogue for all individuals interested in the emerging markets of Latin America, as well as the increasingly important Hispanic marketplaces and issues regarding Latin America in the United States. LAMBA seeks to share our cultural heritage and embrace our diversity as a business advantage and enable the creation of a network of graduate students and US and Latin American business people for the purpose of sharing knowledge and building long-term relationships.

The mission of Leadership and Organizational Transformation Club (LOT) is to enhance the sense of community for all MBA students enrolled in and interested in Leadership and Organizational Transformation, as well as Organizational Behavior more broadly. LOT aims to provide educational, professional networking, and social opportunities to all members. Similar to how a modern HR department focuses on enhancing the community around a company’s biggest asset, its people, LOT will focus on Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, as well as Personal Leadership and Organizational Development initiatives, to enhance the community around one of the University’s biggest assets – its students.

The MBA Marketing Club is dedicated to promoting the discipline of marketing and equipping Questrom students with the skills necessary for a successful career. The club provides members with resources and knowledge in all marketing areas, from analytical and strategic marketing to branding and creative communications, for both B2B and B2C implementation. This is achieved through workshops, networking events, company treks, and the Annual Conference.

The Finance Club provides a hands-on, practical learning platform for all BU students interested in accelerating their understanding of finance. This is achieved by organizing panel discussions, trading competitions, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.

The Questrom Doctoral Association aims to foster interdepartmental communication and collaboration among doctoral students within the Boston University Questrom School of Business. The association seeks to provide an environment where a community of scholars interested in interdisciplinary research and learning can develop. Goals include fostering a sense of community among Questrom doctoral students by planning meetups and social gatherings, and soliciting feedback about doctoral student experiences to provide an outlet for students to communicate how to improve their experience and perform research more effectively.

The Questrom Graduate Council exists to promote the principles of open and inclusive study, reasoned and enlightened inquiry, and social progress within the School and in the world. Representing a diverse community of students with varied racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, gender expressions, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, religions, and abilities, the council joins Boston University in fostering respect for individual differences in life experiences. Committed to building community and connection through these differences, the council upholds the principles of servant leadership, equity, and inclusion in personal, professional, and academic conduct. Since 1987, the Questrom Graduate Council and its officers have been dedicated to these values. The Boston University Questrom Graduate Student Association, which includes all graduate students enrolled in the MBA, MSDT, MSBA, MSMFT, and MSMS programs who have paid the Student Activity Fee, is integral to this mission.

Questrom Graduate Students of the African Diaspora (GSAD) is an all-inclusive group open to all Questrom graduate students, including those in full-time MBA, PEMBA, MSMS, MSMFT, MSBA, and future graduate programs. The mission of the club is to represent Questrom graduate students of the Diaspora and host events that stimulate discussions related to this population in the US and globally while fostering a fun and engaging environment. GSAD promotes the recruitment of students from the African Diaspora, contributing to a more diverse student population at Questrom. The club enhances the global and cultural education of all Questrom graduate students, promoting awareness of cultural diversity and giving voice to this underrepresented group. GSAD serves as a forum for the Questrom graduate community of African ancestry to discuss and share information on networking opportunities, career fairs, internship and job advice, and to organize diversity awareness campaigns in partnership with other traditionally underrepresented clubs. Additionally, the club encourages participation from those not of African descent who have an interest in understanding the African Diaspora.

The core purpose of Questrom Uncorked is to discuss, learn, sample, and appreciate wine, not only for its taste but also for its surrounding culture. The club aims to educate its members about wine regions, different varietals, food pairings, wine history, proper tasting methods, flavor profiles, and to broaden their palates. Beyond the social and epicurean aspects, a knowledge of wine offers benefits for business, such as when entertaining clients or celebrating deals. Questrom Uncorked provides an excellent introduction for beginners to build a base level of knowledge about wine, while more cultivated connoisseurs can expect to taste different wines and engage in well-informed conversations about each bottle. A crucial element of Questrom Uncorked is wine tastings, both on and off campus. These tastings aim to sample and experience the wine, not to overindulge. Following the tasting, an open discussion is encouraged, where members can talk about and compare each different bottle.

Social Impact and Nonprofit Club (SINC) is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the Social Impact MBA Program curriculum and raising awareness of social impact activities across the for-profit, non-profit, and public sectors. Through panels, networking, social events, and various activities, SINC aims to educate MBA students about management issues and opportunities in these sectors. The club works to increase awareness of the Social Impact MBA program among both internal and external audiences. SINC also expands the Social Impact and Nonprofit community through social networking, fundraising, volunteering, and career development initiatives. Additionally, the club collaborates with the Questrom School of Business administration to build and strengthen the community within the Social Impact MBA program.

The Sports & Social Club organizes and hosts a variety of events involving competitive and intramural sports, group fitness activities, and sports opportunities to form a collaborative and diverse community.

The Questrom Strategy Club is focused on supporting those in the Strategy concentration and Learning Community, and creating opportunities for all Questrom graduate students to learn about and engage with different strategy industries, fields, and roles.

The Questrom MBA Veterans Club is dedicated to creating support and camaraderie for Questrom MBA student-veterans. Recognizing that military service is an uncommon experience best understood by fellow veterans, the club emphasizes the importance of staying connected to others who have worn a uniform. This connection aids in the transition to civilian and student life and maintains a sense of belonging to a group that truly understands their experiences. Through networking events, volunteer work, and awareness-raising activities, the club helps student-veterans connect with the larger veteran community in Boston and enhances their experience as students at Questrom.

The Women’s MBA Association provides career guidance and support to women in the MBA, MSMS, MSBA, and MSMFT programs. It offers access to professional women leaders across various industries who have built successful careers. The association educates members about career management, advancement, and networking, and helps them find mentors and leadership opportunities within and around the Questrom School of Business and Boston University. Additionally, the association promotes active participation within the community and establishes solid relationships among students, alumni, faculty, and women in the greater Boston area, including MBA students from neighboring schools. The association unites men and women to address issues surrounding women’s advancement in the workplace.
