
Anete Pajuste
Visiting Professor, Accounting
Anete Pajuste is a Visiting Professor of Accounting in the Questrom School of Business and Professor of Finance in the Stockholm School of Economics (Riga). She is also a research member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and the founder and board member of the Baltic Family Firm Institute (BFFI). Prior to joining the Questrom School of Business in January 2023, she was a visiting senior fellow at the Program on Corporate Governance of Harvard Law School. Anete holds a PhD in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden).
Her recent research focuses on corporate governance, family firms and controlling shareholders. In particular, she has written on the life-cycle effects of dual-class shares, boardroom diversity, and responsible investing. Anete has published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Review of Corporate Finance Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Law and Economics, among others.
Anete has taught accounting and finance related classes in the undergraduate, MBA, EMBA, and executive programs since 2000, and has an extensive experience and training in participant-centered learning methods. Prior to entering academia, she worked in asset management.
