David Prabhu is a Clinical Scientist at Philips in the Cardiovascular Ultrasound business unit where he develops internal and external artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and advises on AI business strategy for the $500 million revenue-generating division. David’s expertise lies in leveraging AI to drive innovation and enhance the development of cardiovascular ultrasound technologies, improving diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Philips, David worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Case Western Reserve University, where he contributed to numerous grant proposals, securing over $10M in funding. He has multiple publications and patents in the field of biomedical engineering, particularly in the areas of medical imaging and AI applications.
While at Boston University, David made history as the first part-time student to serve as the President of the MBA Graduate Student Council. He was awarded the 2022-2023 Graduate Student Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in recognition of his efforts to promote mental health awareness and foster a supportive campus community.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Imaging from Case Western Reserve University, as well as an MBA from Boston University. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western, focusing on 2D/3D image processing and the application of machine/deep learning for medical imaging. He has authored several journal publications and received numerous accolades for his presentations at local and national conferences.
