Thomas Levinsohn

“Having joined the MSMS program with little-to-no work experience, I now feel prepared for my career in business, due, in part, to the experiences I’ve gained through project learning.”

A career in business entrepreneurship seemed out of reach for Thomas Levinsohn. He was a recent Boston University graduate with a bachelor’s in English and no background in business. Fortunately, his alma mater had just the right grad program for people like him.

“I really enjoyed my experiences as a BU undergrad, so Questrom was the obvious choice for my master’s,” he says. And the MS in Management program offered just what heed needed.

In the fast-paced, one-year program, Thomas could master the fundamentals of business, while also learning how to succeed on dynamic teams, working on projects for real clients. This combination was perfect for Thomas, who needed both business knowledge and experience.

“The program’s emphasis on project learning has been incredibly helpful to my learning process, as it has allowed me to take what I learned in a classroom and immediately apply it in a working environment. Having joined the MSMS program with little-to-no work experience, I now feel prepared for my career in business due, in part, to the experiences I’ve gained through project learning.”

When asked to pick the best thing about Questrom, Thomas says, without hesitation, “It’s the immense resources.”

“They range from weekly networking events to occasional seminars with established giants in business to end-of-module parties and celebrations that allow students to commemorate their time and experiences here,” he says. “Overall, the school has met my expectations and even exceeded them, in terms of how many resources it offers its students outside of the classroom.”

Thomas used to call himself a triple Terrier. (His mother holds a Boston University BA and MD.) Now, with his own MSMS degree, his family can add one more credential. Can you say quadruple Terrier?
