
Young Jae “YJ” Han
Chairman and CEO, NOROO Holdings Co., Ltd.
YJ is currently chairman and CEO of Noroo Holdings Co., Ltd in Seoul, Korea. He joined the Noroo Group in 1980, returning from the United States, and became inaugural chairman in 2000. As a second-generation leader of Noroo, he effectively transformed the company to compete in the global market by focusing on improving the management system and restructuring subsidiaries.
Noroo Group of companies has been a leading paint, coatings, and synthetic resins manufacturer since the end of the Korean War in 1945. In recent years, Noroo has been expanding its business portfolio to agriculture and life science businesses, including breeding and producing vegetable and fruit seeds, and more.
He received his MBA from Boston University and is actively engaged in the alumni community in Korea and all over Asia. YJ received the best alumni award from the BU Alumni Association in 2012. He currently resides in Seoul, Korea, with his wife.
