G’Day from Australia

Sophia Pelletier completed an unforgettable semester abroad in Sydney, Australia with BU Sydney where she had a marketing internship at Banter Agency.

Sophia says, “The internship was an amazing experience. While working with Banter, I helped across a number of projects including being a production assistant for a commercial for Surf Life Saving Australia, creating a pop-up hair salon for Shark Beauty, and creating amazing holiday brand activations for Nespresso. I was also able to attend events with the team, including the first SXSW conference to be held in Sydney

“I’m really grateful I got to participate in this internship program with BU Sydney. I gained lots of on-site experience working with clients and the team. I was also able to take two Questrom marketing classes while abroad, MK467 and MK463, which both really helped me while I was abroad because I was able to apply my knowledge from the classroom in a real setting. Sydney is also an amazing city and in the 4 months I was there, I spent lots of time exploring the city, enjoying the beaches, learning how to salsa dance, and traveling the country. I love Sydney and hope to go back soon!”
