Dynamic World: Near real-time global 10 m land use land cover mapping
Valerie Pasquarella co-authored a publication in Nature Scientific Data with colleagues from Google, National Geographic Society, and the World Resources Institute (WRI) introducing Dynamic World, a new near-real-time global land cover dataset. The dataset, which includes class probabilities and Top-1 label predictions for all Sentinel-2 L1C imagery with less than 35% cloud cover, was released earlier this year as an Earth Engine image collection. Dynamic World data is featured as part of WRI’s Resource Watch platform and was featured in a Keyword blog post and keynotes at the 2022 Geo for Good Summit in Mountainview, CA.
