Radioisotope use (RAM) permits will be migrated to BioRAFT

Radiation Safety has begun the process of migrating RAM permits from the Research Information Management System (RIMS) to BioRAFT. Permits will be migrated in order of upcoming permit expiration dates.

Once a permit has been migrated to BioRAFT, the permit holder will receive a notification through the BioRAFT messaging system asking them to review the Radioisotope Materials Registration for accuracy and certify it.Upon certification, the submission will be forwarded to Radiation Safety for review and approval. These messages will contain instructions on how to review and certify the registration in BioRAFT.

To submit a new Radioisotope Materials Registration, please do so in BioRAFT. If you are not yet a Radiation Enabled lab in BioRAFT, please contact Radiation Safety.

To submit an amendment to an existing RAM Permit which has not yet been migrated, please contact Radiation Safety for assistance. Questions or comments should be directed to Cassie Williams at cassiew@bu.edu or 617-638-7675.
