NEW – Online Fundamentals of Research Administration Curriculum
Dear Department, Grant, and Finance Administrators,
We are excited to announce a new suite of online training for Administrators – Fundamentals of Research Administration. You can now access this suite of research administration training on Terrier eDevelopment (log in using your Kerberos password).
What is the online training?
The “Fundamentals of Research Administration” curriculum is made up of several e-modules which cover the grant project lifecycle, from preparing a proposal to award closeout. Because the modules are self-paced, learners can move through them as quickly or slowly as they want based on their previous experience and knowledge. The modules will bring everyone up to the same baseline understanding of the grant project lifecycle. Whether your primary role is pre or post-award related, understanding the life cycle is helpful in understanding the impact of your work.
Why should I complete the modules?
- Become part of a community: Through this initiative we also plan on creating opportunities for research staff completing the curriculum to interact and share departmental best practices with each other, creating more support and networking amongst grant administrators. We will be sending out invites to Zoom hangouts in due course.
- Relevant for all department administrators at all schools and colleges, as well as staff interested in learning more about research administration roles
- Opportunity to learn remotely! Access all the content from subject matter experts, at your own pace.
- Intermediate/Experienced classes: You will receive a certificate of completion, and be well-positioned to take on our more advanced offerings.
- Chance to win a prize: Learners who complete the whole curriculum (11 modules) by July 31 will be entered into a prize draw for one of three mini iPads.
- For an additional entry into the prize draw and chance to win, learners should join the ACRA group on LinkedIn
How do I signup?
Managers can assign modules to their direct reports, or individuals can sign up themselves. For help, refer to the guidance documents.
