OBJECTIVES:
The SAMSUNG Global Research Outreach (GRO) program calls for innovative research proposals from leading universities worldwide. The program seeks proposals in a variety of subject areas. The areas are:
- Novel Analog Devices for Energy Efficient Computing
- 3D Monolithic Integration
- 6G Communication and Sensing
- Bio-Inspired Vision and Imaging Technologies
- Neural Sense Representation
- Advanced Metrology and Inspection Technology for Semicon. Fabrication Process
- Fundamental Technology for Semicon. Equipment
- Organic Photodiode with Triple State
- CO2 Capturing and Utilization
- Machine Intelligence
FUNDING INFORMATION: About $150,000 per year, inclusive of F&A calculated at the full rate of 65%, which may be renewed for up to three years based on measured annual research outcomes and necessity for further research partnership determined by SAMSUNG. Budget cap is based on research theme selected. Please review carefully.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
- Applicants must be university professors or researchers
- The university shall accept GRO Research Agreement conditions as part of the proposal submission process
- Joint research proposals from multiple universities are welcome
INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:
Note: While not a limited submission, GRO proposals are reviewed internally due to the implications of the mandatory GRO agreement
- Questions outlined in InfoReady Review application;
- A brief (one-page) statement by the candidate describing his or her significant scientific work and the proposed project;
- Up-to-date CV.
