Research on Tap: Developing Technologies for a Sustainable Future (2022)

Faculty Hosts: Emily Ryan (College of Engineering) and Xi Ling (College of Arts & Sciences, Department of Chemistry)

Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword, but an environmental, economic and social driver that is changing our daily lives in almost every imaginable way. Sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, agriculture and construction — industries which define where we work and play, what we eat and how goods and services are transported need to evolve to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change. Although it is not a panacea, technology has the power to drive changes that can help minimize industrial impact on the environment.

This Research On Tap event will present a range of exciting and innovative research from faculty across BU who are developing the very technologies that can lead us to a sustainable future. This event is co-sponsored by BU’s Institute for Global Sustainability, College of Engineering and College of Arts & Sciences. View slides and agenda
