Call for Nominations: Wolf Foundation 2025 Wolf Prize

DESCRIPTION:
The Wolf Prize is awarded annually and honors exceptional individuals who transcend barriers of religion, gender, race, geography, and political stance. In the scientific domain, the awards are conferred in Medicine, Agriculture, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. In the arts, the awards recognize excellence in Painting and Sculpture, Music, and Architecture.
The Wolf Prize acknowledges scientists and artists worldwide for their outstanding achievements in advancing science and the arts for the betterment of humanity. By awarding the prize, we salute leaders and pioneers in these fields who have contributed to a better world.
AWARD INFORMATION:
Selected candidate(s) receive a certificate and a monetary award of $100,000.
One award will be given to a scientist/artist in each of the Sciences (agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, medicine, and physics) and Arts (architecture, music, painting, and sculpture) on a rotating basis each year.
ELIGIBILITY:
Researchers in physics, medicine, agriculture, chemistry, and architecture are eligible for nomination this cycle.
2-3 candidates may be nominated jointly to share the prize but only for collaborative work or contributions directly related to the same specific achievement.
There is no limit to the number of nominees submitted by one nominator or institution. However, nominators are recommended to select only one nominee (collaboration) in each field.
NOMINATION PROCESS:
Nominations are submitted directly to the Wolf Foundation and must be submitted by email to Office@wolffund.org.il by: 11/1/2024.
Nominators must include the following information:
- Nomination form (linked to announcement page on the Office of Research’s website)
- 3 letters of support (optional 4 permitted)
- Recent photo of the candidate
- 1-page biography of the candidate
