OBJECTIVE
Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) provides funding for public engagement with the arts and arts education, for the integration of the arts with strategies promoting the health and well-being of people and communities, and for the improvement of overall capacity and capabilities within the arts sector.
The program provides project-based funding for organizations in the following 15 subcategories: Artist Communities, Arts Education, Dance, Design, Film & Media Arts, Folk & Traditional Arts, Literary Arts, Local Arts Agencies, Museums, Music, Musical Theater, Opera, Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works, Theater, and Visual Arts.

FUNDING INFORMATION
Between $10,000 and $100,000 for up to 2 years beginning no earlier than June 1, 2026.
Awards require a 1:1 cost share/match.
ELIGIBILITY
BU may forward one application (some exceptions may apply). Applicant organizations must have completed a 5-year history of arts programming prior to the application deadline (for this cycle, before July 2020).
INTERNAL SELECTION
Interested applicants should submit the following materials via InfoReady Review by: 5/22/2025
- 1-paragraph questions outlined in InfoReady Review
- Project Proposal (up to 2 pages) describing the project’s specific, definable activities and how they demonstrate artistic excellence and artistic merit
- Up-to-date CV
As necessary, a faculty committee will select the nominee.
