Boston University’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees and routinely evaluates the activities conducted by and at BU that have a direct impact on the well-being of animals, including animal and veterinary care, policies and procedures, personnel and program management and oversight, occupational health and safety, IACUC functions, and animal facility design and management.
All research involving animals on BU’s campuses and at Boston Medical Center is subject to the authority of the IACUC, regardless of funding source or other regulatory requirements.
