Info Sessions: Convergent Research Funding Opportunities

Each session will provide an overview of the convergent research seed and planning grant opportunities, including eligibility, submission timelines and requirements, the selection process, and a live Q&A.

A Product-Market Fit Framework for Academic Founders

This 60-minute session is a hands-on introduction to product-market fit for academic founders in clinical and research settings. Attendees will get an introduction to the market validation framework, including how to identify the real customer, and how to recognize real validation, and they will leave with a clearer read on their idea and one concrete next step.

ARPA-H: Mission, Funding Opportunities, and Application Strategies

The Advanced Research Program Agency for Health (ARPA-H) invests in high-risk, high-reward biomedical and health breakthroughs, taking an approach that is fundamentally different from traditional funding sources. Research Development, Federal Relations, and the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine’s Grants Strategy Office will co-host a workshop series to equip BU faculty with the strategies, knowledge, and institutional support needed to compete for ARPA-H funding effectively.

Developing a Manufacturable Therapy

Developing a therapeutic or a technology that could contribute to a therapeutic in the lab raises a unique set of intellectual property questions. This session will discuss the basics of IP strategy for researchers exploring whether to protect their work or launch a company around it, covering what to protect, when, and why it matters.
