Claire is the Associate Director for Research Development, where she works to broadly support BU faculty in obtaining extramural funding for their research programs. Claire supports programs and processes related to limited submissions, pre-award grant consultation, and facilitation of large, interdisciplinary team science efforts across BU. She also assists in the delivery of funder- and mechanism-specific how-to workshops for faculty.
Prior to joining the Research Development team, Claire was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences in BU’s Sargent College. Claire holds a BA in Linguistics from Cornell University and a PhD in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology from Harvard University. She is also a clinically certified speech-language pathologist. Claire’s graduate and postdoctoral research was supported by NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Pre- and Postdoctoral Awards.
