During her postdoctoral training at Harvard University, she contributed to elucidating the mechanism of action of pharmacological agents that presented novel approaches to treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases and that were subsequently out-licensed. She also holds a BS in biology from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
