Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Sponsored Programs, Rachelle Joseph joins Sponsored Programs with a diverse background in research and education. As an accomplished administrative and financial leader in academic medicine, she has specialized in supporting faculty research and driving medical education initiatives across large institutions. With over 15 years of experience in financial management, team leadership, and collaborative problem-solving, she serves as the fiscal officer for BU research and is responsible for overseeing the post award and service center administration teams.
In her prior role as BU’s Senior Director of Research & Medical Education, her responsibilities included overseeing a portfolio spanning 14 divisions within the department of medicine, managing an annual sponsored research budget of $159 million and coordinating a team of 20+ administrators. Additionally, she spearheaded the administration of BU’s medical education program, ensuring compliance, accreditation, and operational efficiency across fellowship, residency, and clerkship programs.
