Substitution Day: Patriots’ Day
Monday, April 17, 2023 is Patriots’ Day and classes will not be held that day. BU will substitute a Monday schedule on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in academic spaces. All of the classes and events booked on Monday, April 17 will shift to Wednesday, April 19.
What does this mean for my event?
In a Classroom / Academic Space
- If you want to hold an event on Monday, April 17 in a classroom, make your request for Wednesday, April 19 in 25Live.
- If you want to hold an event on Wednesday, April 19 in a classroom, make your request for Monday, April 17 in 25Live.
Already scheduled your event in 25Live?
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Monday, April 17 in a classroom, your event will actually take place on Wednesday, April 19 in your assigned space.
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Wednesday, April 19 in a classroom, your event will actually take place on Monday, April 17 in your assigned space. This applies only to meetings & events; academic classes will not take place on Patriot’s Day on Monday, April 17.
Remember that the only classroom building open on the holiday is CAS.
In a Non-Academic Space
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Monday, April 17, or Wednesday, April 19 in a non-academic space, your event will actually take place on the date listed in 25Live; non-academic spaces do not follow sub-day scheduling.
