El Karfi Hosts ‘Vitamin PhD’
Khadija El Karfi will host season 4 of BU’s Vitamin PhD!
This season, co-hosted by El Karfi and Kiloni Quiles-Franco, follows up on the “21 Days of Unlearning Racism and Learning Anti-Racism” curriculum from Summer 2020. In conversations with student organizations, faculty members, and staff from across BU schools and colleges, Kiloni and Khadija discuss how these individuals and groups engage in social justice work within their departments, labs, programs, and colleges. The episode’s conversations seek to guide listeners to resources that will enable them to create and sustain a daily, intentional effort to challenge inequity in their communities and build a more inclusive BU.
Khadija El Karfi tells us about her experience co-hosting Vitamin PhD:
“I had a wonderful experience hosting the fourth Season of the Vitamin PhD podcast with my co-host Kiloni Quiles-Franco. In our conversations with student organizations, faculty members, and staff from across BU, we discussed how individuals and larger groups could intentionally and consistently engage in social justice work. As an international student and as someone who cares deeply about creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for my students and colleagues alike, this was an incredible opportunity to learn and share information about the available resources to enable BU community members to fight inequity and racism in their space.”
El Karfi is a student in our doctoral program in French Language & Literature. Vitamin PhD is a podcast produced at Boston University for anyone who is pursuing a doctorate, has a doctorate, or supporting others on their doctoral journey.
