Datel’s LS 309 Hosts Cherríe Moraga

Last Friday (March 19), Maria Datel’s LS 309 class hosted Cherríe Moraga, a writer and activist involved, in particular, with indigenous women’s rights.

The students asked her about her books, activism in the feminist Chicanx movement and in La Red Xicana Indígena, an advocacy network of Xicanas working in education, the arts, spiritual practice, and indigenous women’s rights.

The event was made possible through support from the HUB’s enhancement funds and the Center for Teaching and Learning.
