Datel wins IDEAL Award
The Department of Romance Studies is proud to announce that Master Lecturer in Spanish, María Datel, is a recipient of this year’s CAS IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Access Leadership) Award!
According to the CAS website, “The CAS IDEAL is awarded annually to three CAS community members whose leadership advances the College’s strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities and best exemplifies CAS’s aspiration to create a welcoming and inclusive community for all.”
Selected by a committee comprised of staff, faculty, and students, the IDEAL Award is granted to those in the CAS community who exemplify merit in the following categories: Civic DEI Engagement, Community Education and Advocacy, Curricular Innovation, Department or Program Level Service, Mentoring Excellence, and Scholarly Innovation. María, along with the other two awardees, will be recognized at CAS’s end of the year awards ceremony in May.
