Sanchez Presents on Ana Lydia Vega
Jorge Sanchez, doctoral student in Hispanic Language & Literatures, recently presented at the Jornadas de Literatura Puertorriqueña 2024. He tells us:
“My presentation analyzed Ana Lydia Vega’s prose, contrasting it with other Latin American writers of her time. I also discussed how her work connects with contemporary authors like Schweblin, Enríquez, and Rivera Garza, highlighting the supernatural or the denouncement of patriarchal violence.”
