Background

Joanna completed her BA in French Studies at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her MA at Boston University. She previously taught French at Coastal Carolina University, accompanied BU students abroad in Grenoble, participated in the Teaching Assistance Program in France (TAPIF), and achieved a Master’s 1 in Renaissance Studies at the University of Tours, France.

Joanna is currently a doctoral student in French at Boston University, specializing in contemporary French and Francophone literature. Her primary research interests include the 20th century French autobiography, diaspora and transnational studies, youth voice in “Beur” fiction, and post-colonial thought.
