Background

Anik Laure Noudou is from Cameroon, also known as Africa in miniature, where she did her undergraduate work in Bilingual studies (French language and Literature, English language and literature) and in Comparative Studies of English and French, at the University of Yaounde I. After an MA in translation from the same university, she moved to Boston where she received a MA in French from Boston College and served as Graduate Assistant and director of La Maison Française for two years.

She is currently a PhD candidate in the Romance Studies department at Boston University where she focuses on Francophone literatures and cultures, in particular sexual violence and identity, race and gender.
