Graduate Student in Spanish
María del Mar is originally from Guadalajara, Spain. She completed her BA in Hispanic Studies and Literature at the University of Alcalá in Spain. She also holds an MA from Alcalá University in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Since then, she has taught Spanish at Boston College for six years. In the past, she has also taught at UMASS Boston. She also completed her internship at the Instituto Cervantes in Munich.
She is interested in analyzing literature through a modern lens. She holds a specific fascination for the Romani culture and society and its profound influence on Spanish literature.
