Admissions
Applicants to the entry-level OTD program can indicate interest in the dual degree OTD/PhD program when they submit their application through the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS).
How to Apply
OTD students can formally apply to the dual degree OTD/PhD program in the third year of the OTD program. Applicants must apply online to the PhD portion of the program using the BU Online Application for Graduate Admissions.
The following application materials submitted in the OTD OTCAS application will be reviewed:
- Official academic transcripts
- Three letters of reference
Additionally, PhD applicants will be required to:
- Request a letter of recommendation from their current BU faculty research mentor.
- Submit an essay describing their professional interests as well as short-term and long-term career goals, and explain the reason that they would like to continue working with their BU faculty research mentor.
- Submit a current curriculum vitae.
Application Deadline: The review of applications to the PhD portion of the program begins on December 1.
