Scholarly, Research, and/or Practice Interests

Dr. Bonato’s research focuses on developing and testing rehabilitation technologies. Over his more than 20 year career, Bonato and his research team have developed and tested systems to facilitate motor retraining and monitoring their outcomes in patient populations such as stroke survivors and children with cerebral palsy. His research has been supported by federal and non-federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, the Michael J Fox Foundation, and the Peabody Foundation.
