Rachel Reynolds

Rachel Reynolds is a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist with a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Boston University. Rachel joined the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center team as a clinician in 2013 and transitioned to a hybrid role as Assistant Director and Senior Nutritionist in 2018.

As Assistant Director, Rachel oversees operations and finances at the SCNC and works closely with her exceptional colleagues to support the high-quality services provided in all areas.

As Senior Nutritionist, Rachel’s specialty areas and clinical interests include working with clients in bodies of all sizes who seek support with eating disorders, disordered eating, weight-related concerns, sports nutrition, risk factors for chronic disease such as prediabetes, elevated cholesterol, and high blood pressure, as well as Parkinson’s Disease and other chronic conditions. Rachel believes that clients are experts in their own lives. She helps clients reach their nutrition-related goals by identifying opportunities for sustainable eating habits that fit into existing routines, preferences, budgets, and lifestyles. She uses a combination of evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and behavior change strategies tailored to individuals in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Rachel enjoys helping people build and maintain a healthy relationship with food and their body so that they can live life to the fullest.

At Boston University, Rachel provides supervision and mentorship to graduate nutrition students during their practicum or dietetic internship rotations at the SCNC. Rachel collaborates with her colleague, Sara Yen in planning and coordination of clinical supervision opportunities at the SCNC.

In addition, Rachel provides supervision and mentorship to nutrition, medical, and social work students as part of a HRSA-funded Interprofessional Care Clinic.

Rachel’s other responsibilities at the SCNC include assisting with SCNC management and promoting the Sargent Choice Healthy Dining Program and Sargent Choice Nutrition Center at events both on and off campus.
