Konrad Herbst
Postdoctoral Fellow, Bioinformatics Program
Konrad joined the Segrè lab in 2022 as a Postdoctoral Associate to learn more about the rules that govern microbial community assembly. He studied Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University in Germany and did his PhD in Biology in Michael Knop’s group in Heidelberg developing genetics and sequencing methods for yeast and mammalian cell engineering. He enjoys approaching scientific problems using various experimental and computational approaches. Apart from his science he tries to spend as much time as possible outside with his son and wife.
