
Loreto Paulino
Bridge-to-PhD Fellow, C-CoMP
Loreto joined the Segrè lab in Septemeber 2023 as a Bridge-to-PhD Fellow through the Center for Chemical Currencies of a Microbial Planet (C-CoMP) led by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. He studied chemistry at the University of Guam, and minored in mathematics. Loreto’s interests in ocean research were sparked by his research experiences as an undergraduate, and he now works with marine microbial networks as a part of the C-CoMP team. Apart from his research, Loreto is also passionate about breaking the barriers faced by Pacific Islanders in STEM.
