Student Employment Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to work on-campus and have access to the job board you must:

U.S. Citizens and Eligible Non-Citizens International Students
Be enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program.*

Be registered full-time (or certified as full-time by your school or college) in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program for each semester, unless it is your last semester.

and

Have work authorization from the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) to gain access to on-campus job listings and to work on campus.

*New International Students must also complete Initial ISSO check-in BEFORE gaining access to the job board.

For first-year and incoming students, once the criteria mentioned above are satisfied, you can access job board listings through the MyBU Student Portal. If you’ve met all the respective criteria and access is not granted, please contact our office. Until you’ve been granted access, you will receive an error message when attempting to access the job board.

Status as a student employee ends immediately upon graduation or withdrawal from the University.
