Cong Zhang
Staff Psychologist
Behavioral Medicine
Born and raised in China, I received my education in psychology at University of Pennsylvania and Boston University. Currently licensed as a psychologist in Massachusetts, I completed my predoctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance and postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, with academic appointments as Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School. I feel fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to serve the BU community. My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, cultural adjustment, life transitions, group therapy, and psychological assessment. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and feminist therapy. I use an eclectic treatment approach tailored to students’ individual needs. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, exploring the outdoors, learning new languages, and spending time with loved ones.
