Hello! I’m glad that you’re familiarizing yourself with our site and our staff. Finding a provider with the right ‘fit’ can be important for your care. To that end, let me tell you a little about me: I made my way into medicine in a round-about way. I was an English major and always loved novels, fairy tales and myths. I eventually turned this love of stories – and how we make sense of the stories of our own lives – into a career in psychiatry.  I have worked in large HMOs and in private practice – but my passion is college mental health. You are at a crucial point in your own story. Who you will be, and how you can best succeed – these are important questions in your treatment. Other tidbits:  I manage only medications in our clinic, though I have a psychological orientation to my work.  I have found a deep love of nature and the peace it can bring. I am white, married, heterosexual, cisgender (she/her) and have 2 children. All the providers at SHS are excellent – but if we happen to meet and work together – it will be my pleasure.
