Interested in joining a group or workshop?
To join a group/workshop or obtain more information, please send a message via Patient Connect using the New Message button to “Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Center (Sexual Assault/ Trauma).” Select whichever groups you are interested in, and a SARP staff member will reach out to you to confirm. If this is your first time at SARP, please leave your availability for a brief intake appointment in the message box. Feel free to call our office at 617-353-7277 with any questions you have. If you are currently meeting with one of our clinicians, you can ask them about joining a SARP group.
Fall 2024 Groups
Undergraduate Trauma Group:
This group will meet weekly with the goal of providing community and peer support for undergraduate students who have experienced sexual violence and/or relationship violence. It will also provide knowledge of the impact of trauma as a tool for healing, create space to share experience and skills with other survivors, and facilitate dialogue with other survivors about their experiences. The group is open to all students regardless of sex, gender, and sexuality.

Trauma Support Group for Graduate Students:
This group is intended for graduate students who are concerned about a romantic relationship and/or who have survived sexual violence. The group is a space to build skills to manage and navigate intimate relationships, and to facilitate dialogue amongst survivors about their experiences. The group is open to all students regardless of sex, gender, and sexuality.

Overcoming Family Challenges Support Group:
This is a support group for students experiencing complicated, strained, or unsupportive relationships, disownment, or estrangement from a single family member, multiple members, or their entire family. The focus of the group will be for members to talk about their experiences of estrangement and develop coping skills. Other topics will vary based on interest. This group is open to all BU students; LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC students are especially encouraged to attend.
