The Health Promotion Program Assistant coordinates existing programs and projects on mental and physical health.
Eligibility requirements:
Incoming or continuing student enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University.
Opportunities may include:
- Coordinate day-to-day oversight of health promotion programs and projects, such as Program Kits and Condom Fairy
- Support and enhance programs that align with strategic priorities, such as:
- Mindfulness
- Peer Listening
- Sexual health
- Assist with campus outreach as needed
- Assist with general office administration including email correspondence and maintenance, inventory tracking
- Support large-scale promotion events for undergraduate and graduate students such as:
- Develop content around health promotion topic areas (e.g. sexual health, mental health) for various communication channels.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one conversations and trainings about how students can support their physical and mental health
- Support Student Health Ambassadors programming and administrative tasks as needed
An ideal candidate will have:
- Passion for supporting student health
- Content knowledge around sexual health and mental health topic areas
- Experience with facilitating workshops and trainings
- Strong skills in project management, communication, and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and problem-solve
- Experience incorporating concepts of diversity, inclusion, and social justice in health promotion
Time commitment:
- This position will be in person for 2024-2025 academic year, with potential for virtual onboarding
- Approximately 15 hours per week beginning in August 2024 and ending in May 2025, with the potential to extend to the following academic year.
- May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends
Compensation:
- Pay rate of $17.50/hour
- There are no tuition benefits
