The Recovery Program Assistant will connect with BU students in recovery, coordinate events for the BU Collegiate Recovery Program, and support the promotion of recovery in the BU community.
The BU Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is a community of students in recovery from substance use. At its core, the CRP connects students to help build a BU-specific recovery support network. CRP members can connect at social gatherings, support members’ recovery journeys through recovery-focused meetings activities, and educate and advocate in the BU community for recovery.
Eligibility requirements:
Enrolled in an academic program at Boston University
Opportunities include:
- Serving as a contact for students interested in the CRP
- Planning, promoting, and attending CRP events
- Co-facilitating CRP meetings or other recovery-related activities
- Assisting with program development for the CRP
- Supporting the promotion of recovery in the BU community
An ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as either a person in recovery or as an ally for those in recovery
- Enthusiasm to build relationships and collaborate with others
- Passion for service in the recovery community
- Excitement for sharing innovative ideas
- Motivation to work independently
Compensation & Time Commitment:
- Hourly paid position at $16.50/hr
- Approximately 5 hrs/wk through the 22-23 academic year
- There are no tuition benefits
