New Job? Student Employment is here to help!

Hey Terriers!

Looking to earn more money in the new year?

The BU Student Employment Office is here to help students who are looking to work during the spring semester. Here are some helpful tips for employment at BU:

  • Students can participate in on-campus employment regardless of whether or not they have a Federal Work-Study award. Positions will often list if Federal Work-Study is required, but if you don’t have a Federal Work-Study award there are plenty of positions available that don’t require it.
  • The Work-Study Job Directory is live for the spring semester. The most up-to-date information regarding available jobs is posted here. To access the directory, follow these steps:
    • Open MyBU Student Portal
    • Select “My Job and Career”
    • Select “ Job Postings” Tile
  • The Work-Study Job Directory also has a listing of Off-Campus positions available to students as well!
  • Don’t have time for a weekly part-time Job? Try Quick Jobs! These are quick, hourly paid odd jobs posted by the BU Community and a great way to earn some additional money when you do have time. No need to commit to a weekly schedule!

If earning is the first step to saving, budgeting is the second. Consider building a weekly and monthly budget with your additional income. SmartMoney has some great resources for building a budget!
