Working part time while you’re in college is a great way to earn money for expenses BU doesn’t bill you for books, school supplies, cosmetics, personal hygiene, entertainment, etc. Generally, you can’t use earnings from work to pay your BU bill because your bill for the term will be due before you’re paid.
The Student Employment Office helps students get jobs during the academic year and during the summer. Jobs are available for domestic and international students. Jobs for domestic students are available on and off campus. Domestic students awarded Federal Work-Study can apply for jobs funded through that program. Domestic students not awarded Federal Work-Study and international students can apply for jobs funded by the hiring department.
Students are paid weekly and setting up direct deposit of your paycheck is strongly encouraged. Direct deposit is convenient, secure, and an effective way for you to manage your money.
