GRADUATE STUDENTS TO PUBLISH THEIR WORK

A paper by PhD student Itai Vardi has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Food, Culture, and Society. The article is titled “Feeding Race: Eating Contests, The Black Body, and the Social Production of Group Boundaries Through Amusement in Turn of the Twentieth Century America” and will be published in the journal’s volume 13 number 3 September 2010 edition.

Roman Williams’ article “Space for God: Lived Religion at Work, Home, and Play” was accepted by the peer-reviewed journal Sociology of Religion and is slated for publication in the fall. A previous article, “Picturing Religion in Everyday Life” was published in the fall 2009 newsletter of the religion section of the American Sociological Association “Sociology of Religion”.
