Associate Professor Heather Schoenfeld wins Book Award
Heather Schoenfeld, Associate Professor of Sociology, was selected as a 2019 Award of Excellence winner by the Leadership in History awards committee for her book Building the Prison State: Race and the Politics of Mass Incarceration (2018, University of Chicago Press). The AASLH Leadership in History Awards is the nation’s most prestigious competition for recognition of achievement in state and local history.
