An Ohio native, Elise St. Esprit moved to the east coast in 2019 following her graduation from Miami University with a dual bachelors degree in Journalism and Political Science.

While at Miami, Elise focused on the evolving relationship between journalism and democracy-building, with the opportunity for hands-on learning through study abroad in a variety of countries including Cuba, Oman, The United Arab Emirates and Kosovo. She also worked for four years during this time as an Administrative Assistant in the College of Arts and Sciences Academic Advising office which ignited her passion for the field higher education.

After moving to Boston, Elise continued her career in higher education as an Administrative Coordinator with Suffolk University’s Political Science & Legal Studies Department for three years serving over 600 students and a dozen faculty members. She is thrilled to be joining the Sociology Department team at BU!
