Qiong’s current research interests are focused on, but not limited to, medical sociology and historical sociology. She obtained an M.A. in sociology from Zhejiang University, with her master’s thesis comparing the different anti-plague policies implemented in China and India during the Third Plague Pandemic. Additionally, she holds a B.M. degree in clinical medicine from Zhejiang University, which provided her with two years of experience as an intern doctor in China.
