Small Business Plans

Purpose

Each individual small business subcontracting plan has a total dollar percentage goal for products or services to be allocated to small business companies. Sourcing & Procurement will help to identify small business suppliers within each category as listed on the budget summary. The principal investigator is required to comply with the utilization of small business companies as identified on the proposal throughout the contract period.

Scope

Supplier Diversity or Small Business Subcontracting Plans may need to be developed for compliance reasons. To determine if a plan is needed, contact the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Responsibility

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) should be contacted for assistance in preparation and submission of research proposals for small business subcontracting plans. The Office of Sourcing & Procurement will work in conjunction with the Office of Sponsored Programs to generate and complete the small business plan.

Procedure

The following information is required to begin the process and complete the plan.

  • Project Name
  • Project Period
  • Proposal Solicitation Number
  • Detailed Budget Summary
  • Identify Small Business Suppliers
  • Allocation of Products and Services to Small Business

Estimated time frame to complete plan: Two Weeks.
