CDS DS519: Spark! Software Engineering X-Lab Practicum

Fall 2024: NEW class time will be Mondays 6:30-9:15 *This class is currently closed for registration. The course is in the process of being moved to Mondays at 6:30-9:15. Registration will reopen once this change has been approved. 

In CDS DS519, you will have the opportunity to apply your programming and system development skills by working on real-world projects provided by partnering organizations within and outside of Boston University. You will have the opportunity to improve your technical skills while gaining the soft skills necessary to deliver projects aligned with your partner organization’s goals, including teamwork, communication, and software development skills. You will complete a software engineering project and prepare a final presentation to your partner organization. 

Prerequisites

You must have taken CASCS411 or have an equivalent experience in software development. You may be required to take a diagnostic test to assess your readiness for the course.
