CDS DS549: Spark! Machine Learning X-Lab Practicum

Spring 2024: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 — 3:15 PM*

In CDS DS549, you will apply your knowledge in algorithms, inferential analytics, and software development by working on real-world projects provided by partnering organizations within and outside of Boston University. You will have the opportunity to improve your technical skills while gaining the soft skills necessary to deliver projects aligned with your partner organization’s goals, including teamwork, communication, and software development skills. You will complete a project focused on an application of inferential analytics or machine learning and prepare a final presentation to your partner organization. 

Prerequisites

You must have taken CASCS542 or CASCS505 or CASCS585 or have an equivalent experience in software development. You may be required to take a diagnostic test to assess your readiness for the course.
