You can work informally on your project with the help of Spark! mentors or, if you don’t know where to start, take a course that will help you take your project from an idea to a working prototype in one semester.

Innovation Fellowship Course

HUB XC475: Spark! Technology Innovation Fellowship Course

If you have a project you want to build or take to the next level but don’t know where to start, XC475 will help you take your project from an idea to a working prototype in one semester. If you don’t have an idea but want to join a student-driven innovation project, this course is for you too. You will work through Spark!’s structured product innovation process with technical support from Spark! experts and industry mentors. An application and interview are required for registration to this course.

Spark! Launch Lab

If you have a working prototype, you’re invited to apply for the Spark! Launch Lab — the place where you and other select students can take your prototype to the next level. The Launch Lab focuses exclusively on the development aspects of a technical prototype, including computing or data science-focused projects, software, data science, machine learning, etc. You must have a working prototype that has either been deployed or can be demoed to be considered. An application and interview are required.

Work independently 

If you have an idea you want to take to the next level, you can work informally on your project with the help of Spark! technical and UX design mentors. Schedule a consultation with a Spark! team member. You are also invited to join our weekly Syntax & Snax, where you can work alongside your peers on personal projects, with the help of Spark! technical mentors and experts in residence. They’ll lend support to your ideas and technical roadblocks.
