Paul Rhode (SPH ’18).

Job Title & Company

Project Manager – AFL Enterprises, Inc.

What did you enjoy most about your experience at SPH?

The connected community! BUSPH did a great job to create a tight knit community within classes and fellow students as well as approachable, open door professors who were really there to help us succeed.

Did you have a favorite professor or class at SPH?

My favorite professor at SPH was Dr. Carol Dolan and my favorite class was SB821, Intervention Strategies for Health Promotion with Dr. Catharine Wang.

How did your practicum or education experience at BUSPH shape your career goals?

It didn’t really! I was lucky to be able to do a practicum with more of a passion project! It was a great experience and allowed me to reconnect with the CO community I knew I wanted to return to after my time at BUSPH.

What advice can you lend to students as they prepare for the workforce?

Don’t get discouraged if things don’t pan out as quick as you hoped. You have a big, unique set of skills under your belt and the right fit will come along. Trust the education you received and believe in your ability to be awesome.
