Speaker bio: Dr. Alfredo Tirado-Ramos is a research scientist with a 15-year career in the realm of health informatics, with a proven record of of dynamic leadership and strategic vision. Most recently, he held esteemed positions at Dartmouth College, serving as Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biomedical Data Science, Director of Translational Informatics at the Dartmouth SYNERGY Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and Scientific Director of Biomedical Informatics at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System. Prior to his tenure at Dartmouth, Dr. Tirado-Ramos founded and steered the Clinical Informatics Research Division within the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. Earlier in his career, he distinguished himself at Emory University as the Associate Director for the Biomedical Informatics Core at the Center for AIDS Research at the Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Tirado-Ramos is deeply passionate about information systems research, employing cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques and computational methods to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among epidemiologists, data scientists, and biostatisticians, leveraging technology to enhance healthcare outcomes and drive innovation.
