Dr. Amira Aker is an environmental epidemiologist at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec and Université Laval, Canada. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on identifying risks associated with exposure to contaminants in structurally excluded populations. Dr. Aker completed her PhD at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Environmental Health Sciences and her MPH in Environmental Health & Policy at George Washington University. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto Scarborough focused on chronic disease around pregnancy.
